Equity-based crowdinvesting: disruption of the finance industry?

As someone who aspires to invest in start-ups and medium sized enterprises I’m very much interested in crowdfunding. More specifically, in equity-based crowdinvesting. The Wall Street Journal recently covered most of the pros and cons of equity-based crowdinvesting.

Based on the arguments I’ve read so far I’m somewhat sceptical towards crowdinvesting platforms, though I’m quietly enthusiastic about a platform called MicroVenture Marketplace. However, I need to get some crowdinvesting experience myself before I can form a balanced opinion.

I recently had a very pleasant conversation with Oriol Pascual from ImpactCrowd, a soon to be launched crowdinvesting platform. We discussed many issues regarding crowdinvesting, particularly from an investor’s point of view. I’ll blog more about my experiences with ImpactCrowd in the near future.

If you are interested in ImpactCrowd, I urge you to get in touch with Oriol via this link.
